Reverend Angela R. WilliamsReverend Angela R. Williams
Senior Pastor

Rev. Angela R. Williams, an ordained elder in The United Methodist Church, is newly appointed as Lead Pastor at Life Center United Methodist Church (UMC) in DeSoto, TX. At her prior appointment at St. Paul UMC Dallas and First UMC Dallas, Rev. Williams’ call to racial justice inspired her to lead Justice Builders, a group comprised of members from both churches who work together in ministry to educate and positively affect racial justice for the city of Dallas and surrounding communities.

Rev. Williamses dedicated 25-year career, (23 years in DeSoto ISD), and love for encouraging young people as a teacher, counselor, principal, and school administrator, led her to organize and implement Youth Together We Dine events across the North Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church. These events, created by Project Unity, allow total strangers of all races to engage in courageous and safe conversations about race relations as they share a meal. While these events were occurring for adults in the Conference, Rev. Williams realized that Conference youth would too be positively impacted.

Rev. Williams graduated summa cum laude from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University with a Master of Divinity Degree. Her additional education includes a Master of Education in School Counseling from Dallas Baptist University, and a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Fashion Merchandising from Paul Quinn College, which from both she graduated with honors.

Rev. Angela Williams is married to Mr. Alvin R. Williams. They are the proud parents of two lovely daughters, Ambreal Ricole Williams and Allika Roquel Williams. These four are the proud humans of Coco Chanel, their cocoa brown miniature poodle.
